Welcome to Made for Koreans ("Made for Koreans", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, including our events directory, news briefs, and any other content or features we provide (together, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Additional terms

Certain parts of the Service may be subject to additional terms (for example, terms for business listings or other commercial services). Where additional terms apply, they will be presented to you at the relevant time and will prevail over these Terms for that part of the Service, to the extent of any conflict.

2. Not financial, tax, legal, or immigration advice

The Service publishes general information for Korean communities living in New Zealand, including briefs about economic, housing, tax, benefit, and pension topics.

All content on the Service is provided for general information only. It is not financial, investment, tax, legal, or immigration advice, and it is not tailored to your personal circumstances. Before making any decision that affects your finances, taxes, property, benefits, visa status, or legal position, you should check the original source and, where appropriate, seek advice from a qualified professional adviser.

You act on information from the Service entirely at your own risk.

3. Accuracy of content

We take care to verify figures against official sources and to state the date each brief is based on. However:

• content is accurate only as at its stated date, and underlying sources (including government statistics) may be revised after publication;
• we summarise and translate material from third-party sources and may not capture every nuance of the original; and
• we do not warrant that any content is complete, current, or error-free.

Where our content and an official source differ, the official source prevails.

4. Events and directory information

Event listings and any business or community information on the Service are compiled from information provided by organisers, businesses, or public sources. We do not verify every detail, and inclusion in the Service is not an endorsement or recommendation by us. Details such as dates, venues, prices, and availability can change without notice — always confirm with the organiser or business directly.

5. Your account

Some features may require an account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account, to keep your credentials secure, and to be responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
• scrape, harvest, or systematically extract content or data from the Service, except as permitted by a search engine's standard indexing;
• republish, translate, or redistribute substantial parts of our content without our prior written permission;
• interfere with the operation or security of the Service; or
• impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.

7. Intellectual property

The Service and its original content — including our Korean-language briefs, summaries, translations, compilations, design, and branding — are owned by Made for Koreans and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may view, share links to, and quote brief excerpts of our content with attribution. You may not reproduce our content wholesale, commercially exploit it, or use it to train machine-learning models, without our prior written permission.

Content we quote, summarise, or link from third-party sources (including New Zealand and Korean government publications) remains the property of its respective owners.

8. Third-party links

The Service links to third-party websites, including government sources, news outlets, event organisers, and ticketing services. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of those sites. Linking to a site is not an endorsement.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-interruption of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other laws that cannot be excluded.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Made for Koreans will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or any loss of profit, savings, or opportunity, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service or your reliance on any content — including decisions you make about finances, property, taxes, benefits, or immigration.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you in connection with the Service is limited to NZD $100.

11. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; when we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
